THE COMPANY

Devilish Accord Productions is not a company as such, but a collaborative umbrella bringing together necessary resources and people to create works for stage, screen and more. There is no absolute launch date for DAP, as it simply coalesced from the formation of ideas, needs and the growing experiences of uncle-nephew team, David and Sean. If we were forced to pin-down a date it would be 21st December 2016, as our founders publicised the first public rehearsed reading of our 2018 début theatrical piece Get Me Out Of Here. Here's a fun fact: The name Devilish Accord is taken from a literal definition of Mischievous Agreement. Well that's the official line, but actually the name is an anagram of David Chriscole our resident playwright.

Our Ethos

To provide sincere and engaging stories for a modern audience and to challenge perceptions of people and their situations.

DAVID CHRISCOLE

- Founder
- Producer
- Playwright

David's real job is as a Senior Applications Developer, working for a major UK software and services company. Orignally from Kendal in Cumbria, he now resides in Wigan, Greater Manchester.

His love affair with theatre, and in particular fringe theatre, began during 2014/2015 whilst supporting his UCLan trained actor-nephew Sean. Having been inspired by interactions and activities surrounding many splendid venues and productions, David put pen to paper in October 2015.

He wrote his first ever theatrical short called I'm Not Ready For You Yet!, which was produced as a script-in-hand performance by Manchester ADP in September 2016. This airing served only to encourage David to do more, who subsequently enrolled with Studio Salford's Write For The Stage INTRO and ADVANCED courses during 2016 and 2017. Using the skills learned, he began writing début play called Citadel (previously known as Get Me Out Of Here), being staged in September 2018.

David is also a singer, and volunteers to be part of the Three Wishes Choir (Wrightington, Wigan & Leigh Hospital Charity).

He has also appeared on stage at The Kings Arms on 18th and 19th December 2017, as the ugly sister 'Pertulia', in the Manchester ADP Scripts Aloud Panto "Pantomonium", by Abey Bradbury

Awards: Spirit of the Fringe (Greater Manchester Fringe Festival 2016): Awarded for attending a whopping 25 shows across the month-long festival.
